Gateway Readers Award Program
The Missouri Association of School Librarians created the Gateway Readers Award Program to encourage reading by introducing quality literature to the high school students of Missouri. Each year a list of 15 books is chosen by a large group of readers which includes librarians, teachers, and students. LHS students who read or hear at least three of the selected books are eligible to vote for their favorite.
Interested students sign up in the library to participate in the program. Those students are invited to a party at the end of the school year to vote for their favorite book. In addition, students who read three of the selected books will be entered into a drawing for prizes. Visit the Gateway Readers' Award Blog for more information on the 2015-2016 Nominees or past nominees.
